As per tradition, the whisky tastings in 2020 saw the magnifying glass widen, thus reaching a large number of products belonging to the core ranges, passing through the timeless classics and, inevitable, the latest news, that always addresses more attention in the Awards, in order to always recommend new products to try. The list was created by testing products available mainly in the American and the European territories, but 2020 has brought down once and for all the frontiers of online commerce. Nowadays it is possible to buy products almost all over the world.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
Among the whiskies tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those who scored the best were selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
Since 2016 CigarsLover Magazine releases the top 10 whiskies of the year. Together with the Daily Dram (the best quality/price products), this list will be published in detail in the Winter 2020 issue of CigarsLover Magazine.
