The Tweeddale 28yo The Evolution
PAESE: Scotland
ABV (PROOF): 52% (104)
PREZZO: $ 150 | € 130
TIPO: blended whisky
Reborn in 2010 after a half-a-century long oblivion, Tweeddale is a small independent bottler of blended whisky. Over the past decade, they contributed to the renaissance of blended whisky, and this 28yo made with Speyside single malts and a Lowland single grain set a new standard on the market. A complex, elegant, and really satisfying dram.
In the glass, it releases leather, lemon zest, honey, and candied orange. On the palate custard, noble wood, and vanilla. The finish is slightly balsamic, with custard and honey.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
Among the whiskies tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those who scored the best were selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
Since 2016 CigarsLover Magazine releases the top 10 whiskies of the year. This list will be published in detail in the Winter 2020 issue of CigarsLover Magazine.
