Kavalan’s Solist range established itself as one of the more interesting on the market with its unconventional cask maturations and cask strength bottlings. Every bottle is numbered and marks the cask code with the signature of the Master Blender. In this case, we have precious Spanish Fino sherry casks. This 2020 batch is an astonishing high-level whisky.
A riot of ripe fruit and honey, enriched by a mix of exotic fruit, with a touch of coconut. On the palate, white pepper and caramel are added. Spicy finish, with cocoa, honey, and orange zest.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
Among the whiskies tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those who scored the best were selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
