Since 2011, the guys at Glendalough brought back to life the ancient art of Irish single malt whisky establishing their fame as one of the most interesting European craft distilleries. Moreover, they were among the first European producers to discover the joys, and the troubles, of the difficult aging in Japanese mizunara oak casks. Limited to 6.000 bottles.
In the glass, it releases aromas of red apple, enriched with honey and wood spices. On the palate yellow fruit and tropical notes, along with fine wood, pecan nut, and a touch of ginger. White pepper in the long finish.

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
Among the whiskies tested during the year in blind tastings and reviews, those who scored the best were selected. These products were then tested once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
Since 2016 CigarsLover Magazine releases the top 10 whiskies of the year. This list will be published in detail in the Winter 2020 issue of CigarsLover Magazine.
