It is the fruit of the collaboration between the two legendary figures of Fred Noe, Jim Beam’s master distiller, and Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory’s chief blender. Fred developed the recipe of the mash, which first matures in virgin oak casks and then gets split between Californian red wine casks and sherry butts. Finally, Shinji mastered the perfect blend.
Vanilla, pecan nut, leather and milk chocolate, with a touch of red fruit are present on the nose. Cocoa, wood, caramel and a toasted vein are revealed on the palate. Long finish, with spices, vanilla and nutmeg.
