Flor de Selva N. 15

Flor de Selva N. 15

Flor de Selva N. 15 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

Flor de Selva N. 15 is one of thirteen references in the Maya Selva line. The No. 15 is the only cigar to have the name indicated with a number and is also the only Figurado.

The blend is made up of Honduran leaves only. They are sold in classic twenty-count wooden boxes.

Flor de Selva N. 15

The cigar is dressed in a shiny Colorado Claro wrapper with yellow reflections. To the touch, it is pretty smooth with very light veins. The filling is good, and the workmanship is excellent. The draw appears slightly open.

Flor de Selva N. 15 2

Flor de Selva N. 15: in the cold draw, well-defined notes of wood and nuts emerge, enriched by spicy nuances.

Flor de Selva N. 15 3

Once lit, the cigar brings a sapid but also delicately sweet smoke to the palate. An important wood note emerges, followed by less intense notes of coffee and toasted hazelnut, with balsamic nuances. The strength is medium-light (2/5).

In the central section, the smoke remains sapid, while the initial sweetness disappeared. The woody note is confirmed, this time enriched by mineral tones of equal intensity and less marked notes of nuts. Strength increases, becoming medium (3/5).

In the last third, the sapidity remains unchanged. The wood loses intensity and gives way to an marked note of cocoa, which also reveals a spicy and mineral undertone. Strength increases very slightly (3.5/5).

Overall, the Flor de Selva N. 15 is a cigar that provides a very interesting smoke, rich in terms of the definition of each flavor. The present but not excessive strength plays in favor of the flavor profile. The evolution is appreciable, also leaving room for fascinating nuances.
