Tasting Notes DOUGLAS LAING ROCK OYSTER
Nose: very fresh, with notes of green apple and barley. Intense notes of cereals are perceptible, with a smokey touch in the background, together with hints of algae and salty nuances. There are also medicinal aromas.
Palate: clean. Marine notes, wet ash, honey and licorice. The base is sweet and reminiscent of sugar candies.
Finish: medium long persistence. Ash, bonfire and salty notes.
Overall, the Douglas Laing Rock Oyster is a well made whisky, which presents a discreet balance. A blended whisky that is able to compete, at least in terms of rating, with other products that are far more know and widespread.
