E.P. Carrillo had a busy PCA trade show and announced a couple of releases, but the biggest announcment was the rebranding to Casa Carrillo.
The rebranding marks a new chapter that unifies its U.S. headquarters, factory, and global presence. This change reflects the company’s heritage and vision for the future.
The Carrillo family’s journey began in Cuba, evolved in Miami, and now flourishes in the Dominican Republic, focusing on crafting cigars that honor tradition while embracing innovation. Casa Carrillo embodies this legacy, with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
This rebranding creates a cohesive identity and aligns the Miami headquarters with the newly renamed Casa Carrillo Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic. It ensures a seamless experience for retailers and enthusiasts, emphasizing a shared dedication to quality and excellence across all products.
While the brand name is evolving, Casa Carrillo is now the parent company that owns and manages the E.P. Carrillo, Pérez-Carrillo, and INCH brands. This transition unifies the company’s identity while maintaining the legacy and distinction of each individual brand.
Perez-Carrillo – As a cornerstone of the company’s portfolio, this series includes some of the most iconic and award-winning blends, such as Pledge, Encore, La Historia, Allegiance, and Endure.
E.P. Carrillo – A core part of the company’s portfolio, our Essence Series, celebrates the family’s blending expertise within the Casa Carrillo house.
INCH – Known for its bold ring gauge formats and craftsmanship, INCH remains a defining line within the Casa Carrillo portfolio.
They also announce the latest addition to its Essence Series—the Essence Series Connecticut. As the fourth blend in this series, following the Sumatra, Maduro, and Honduras, the E.P. Carrillo Connecticut is the second Essence Series creation crafted outside Casa Carrillo, exclusively at the renowned Agroindustrias DIADEMA factory in Honduras.
“The Essence Series Connecticut was born out of a desire to create a cigar that pairs creamy, mellow flavors with exceptional craftsmanship,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. “This blend is perfect for both seasoned smokers seeking a refined, nuanced experience and those new to the world of premium cigars.”
The Essence Series Connecticut features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, over a Honduran Criollo 98 binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Honduras.
Shipping will start in May to retailers. The Connecticut will be offered in three vitolas each in a 24-count box:
- Corona, 44 x 140 mm (5 ½”) – $8.75 per cigar
- Robusto, 50 x 127 mm (5″) – $9.25 per cigar
