Caldwell’s Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro is a line extension, that was introduced earlier this year, to the Habano and Connecticut wrapped version. The leaf that makes up the wrapper is a Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Compared to the other two version, that are made in Honduras, this Maduro line is made at the Tabacalera William Ventrua, in the DR.

Visually, the wrapper is of a Maduro shade and as you would expect it has some tooth to it. Construction is good, althought the overall craftsmanship could be better.

Caldwell Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro Robusto: the cold draw reveals aromas of barnyard and some spizes. Once lit, the first few puffs are dominated by spices and some wood flavors.

Overall, the Caldwell Blind Man’s Bluff Maduro Robusto is an easy cigar to enjoy. The flavors of black pepper, wood and earth are well balanced between each other and make for a decent flavor profile. To bad the ripe fruit sweetness did not stick around to long, since it would have added some depth to the smoke.
