The Cinço Décadas line is of historical importance, as it commemorates the fifty years of the Joya de Nicaragua brand. It is the first Nicaraguan brand, which boasts the most articulated history in the country. Two sizes belong to the line, including the Diadema, which is a Double Figurado.

It is dressed in a dark matte shaded wrapper leaf, that is smooth to the touch.
Joya de Nicaragua Cinço Décadas Diadema: unlit, hints of cocoa beans. The opening brings aromas of cocoa, black pepper and hints of vegetable resin to the palate.
The first third continues with the cocoa beans, now followed with black pepper and earth. Strength is just above medium (3.5/5).
In the central section return the trio of cocoa beans, black pepper and earth. Walnut is also added. There is a hint of wood resin in the background, with faint notes of balsamic herbs in the aftertaste. Strength becomes medium-full (4/5).
Cocoa and vegetable notes alternate in the last third. Cocoa is particularly intense. The spiciness is still present, but in a more subdued and in the background. Strength remains constant.
Overall, the Joya de Nicaragua Cinço Décadas Diadema releases an intense smoke with an exceptional harmony. Good evolution. The flavor profile is structured and the quality of the tobacco used is clearly perceptible. It’s hard to think of a better cigar to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand.
