Joya de Nicaragua has introduced a new vitola for their Clásico Original and Clásico Medio Siglo lines: the Gordito, measuring 56 x 102 mm (4 inches).
The Clásico Original, recognized as the first Nicaraguan cigar, was famously enjoyed in the White House during the Nixon era. It features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper that enhances the balance of its Nicaraguan filler blend.
The Clásico Medio Siglo also receives the Gordito vitola. This version is wrapped in a Habano Criollo leaf and filled with select Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Juan Ignacio Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua, stated, “The Clásico line has been at the heart of Joya de Nicaragua’s history for over 57 years. With the launch of the Clásico Original and Medio Siglo Gordito, we continue to celebrate our heritage while offering an enhanced experience to today’s smokers.”
Both new vitolas will debut first in Spain and will later be available worldwide. They are sold in boxes of 20 at a retail price of €5.90 per cigar.
