Hiram & Solomon Veiled Prophet Lancero 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Hiram & Solomon Veiled Prophet Lancero is part of the Veiled Prophet line from Hiram & Solomon. The line was introduced in 2016 with the Grand Monarch vitola, and additional sizes were released over time.

The Lancero format (7 x 38) was added later as an extension to the line and released in March 2020 as a regular production size. The Veiled Prophet line is available in the following vitolas: Monarch (6 x 54), Grand Monarch (7 x 60), and Lancero (7 x 38).

The cigars are dressed up in a Colorado Maduro leaf, which is smooth to the touch. The construction is good, with a uniform filling, which is uncommon for the Lancero size.

Hiram & Solomon Veiled Prophet Lancero: The cold draw reveals scents of earth and cocoa. The first few puffs are all about earth and roasted coffee notes.

The first third continues on the earthy and roasted flavor profile, with a touch of black pepper in the aftertaste. The strength is medium (3/5).

In the middle third, a vegetal vein is added as well, together with some balsamic hints, the latter exclusively perceivable in the aftertaste. The strength doesn’t change (3/5).

In the final third the balsamic notes become protagonist, with the earth and the roasted notes still present. There is also a nuttiness perceivable. The strength increases a little (3.5/5).

Overall, the Hiram & Solomon Veiled Prophet Lancero is a nicely balanced cigar. The flavor profile is not among the broadest, but it is harmonious and enjoyable. The evolution is perceivable, mainly in the last two-thirds.
