Padilla 1932 Lancero

Padilla 1932 Lancero 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Padilla 1932 Lancero is made in the USA at the El Titan de Bronze cigar factory in Miami, Florida. It is exclusively made out of Nicaraguan tobaccos, and it features a red-hued Corojo wrapper over a Criollo binder and a filler made of Corojo and Criollo tobaccos. The blender and owner is Ernesto Padilla, who created the Padilla in 1932 in honor of his father, Heberto Padilla.

Padilla 1932 Lancero

The cigar is dressed in a Maduro-colored wrapper that is smooth to the touch. There are only a few small veins present. Construction is decent, with the filling being more than generous.

Padilla 1932 Lancero

Padilla 1932 Lancero: hints of honey and cocoa, with a touch of earth, are perceivable in the cold draw. The first few puffs deliver spicy notes and mineral and metallic nuances.

Padilla 1932 Lancero

The first part of the smoke releases notes of seasoned wood and earth, with a spiciness of black pepper and cardamom in the background. As the smoke progresses, nuances of musk also reach the palate. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the middle section, the profile confirms seasoned wood and earth, now flanked by nuts, mainly walnut. Spices make a comeback with black pepper and intense spicy peaks. In the background, the musk leaves room for vegetal notes and a hint of balsamic herbs. Strength grows slightly (3.5/5).

In the final third, earth and seasoned wood are confirmed, with the spices slowly fading, and the balsamic herbs are becoming more pronounced and moving into the foreground. Strength doesn’t change (3.5/5).

Overall, the Padilla 1932 Lancero delivers a smoke with a structured flavor profile, and the cigar also shows a nice evolution.
