TASTING NOTES – LAPHROAIG FOUR OAKS

Nose

Scents of peat are followed by aromas of medicinal herbs and a touch of vanilla. The a avery intense wood flavor, followed by hints of fruits.

Palate

It delivers notes of wood and vanilla, together with wood spices in the background. Fruits are also perceptible, but they are not particularly structured. The peaty components is present, but not as protagonist.

Finish

Medium persistency. Wood spices and hints of fruits. Some peaty notes.

Overall, the Laphroaig Four Oaks is a decent Scotch whisky, showing a good harmony and a very good balance. However, it lacks in terms of structure and deepness.
