Last September, AVO released its limited regional editions: the North and the South. Both cigars are characterized by different sizes (the North is a Double Perfecto) and a different blend. In particular, the North is the only one of the two to be a Dominican Puro: the binder is a Hybrid Olor/Piloto Seco, while the filler includes San Vicente (Visus), San Vicente Mejorado (Ligero), Piloto Ligero, and Hybrid Olor / Piloto (Ligero).
The cigar is dressed in a bright Colorado wrapper with yellow reflections. To the touch, it is slightly rough, with not very evident veins. Construction and filling are great.
- Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
- Size: 50 x 158 mm (6.6″)
- Wrapper: Dominican Republic
- Binder: Dominican Republic
- Filler: Dominican Republic
- Price: $14 – € 15
AVO Regional North Edition: the cold draw reveals only aromas of seasoned wood. The opening reveals a mix of seasoned wood and spices, where white pepper stands out.
Overall, a balanced smoke with a low intensity. The cigar tends more towards refinement and harmony, the latter, however, less pronounced than the former. Although the size may suggest a broad range of flavors, the aromas it develops are few and with little evolution.
