It has been nine years since Davidoff first introduced their Chefs Edition, and four years have passed since the last one. The Chefs Edition sees Davidoff collaborating with selected Michelin-starred chefs from around the world.
The Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025 marks the fifth size, following the releases in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021. The first three releases were all in the same 54 x 152 mm (6″) Toro size, while the 2021 release was presented in a Churchill format.
The cigars are rolled in Colorado Maduro colored wrappers that are smooth to the touch and have almost no veins present. The construction is flawless and the filling generous.

Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025: The cold draw brings nuances of nuts, spice, and wood to the palate. Once lit, the opening is peppery, with aromas of leather and wood following.
Further into the first third, a walnut aroma is added to the pepper, leather, and wood. There is also a faint ripe fruit note present in the retro hale. The strength is already a solid medium (3/5).
In the second third, the spice component turns from pepper to cinnamon, and a coffee aroma joins the profile. The ripe fruit is now better perceptible in the retro hale. The strength remains at a medium level.
The cinnamon and leather notes are the dominant flavors in the last third, with the coffee, walnut, and earth moving to the background. A creamy component comes through as well from time to time, while the ripe fruit remains present in the retro hale. The strength grows to a medium-full level (4/5). The finale is spicy.
Overall, the Davidoff Chefs Edition 2025 is a complex and balanced smoke. The flavor profile is well-structured, intense, and broad, while the strength level complements it perfectly. The long finish adds to a more than satisfying smoking experience down to the last puff.
