The Charter Oak Habano Torpedo is part of the Charter Oak line from Foundation Cigar Company, founded by Nicholas Melillo. The Charter Oak brand is Melillo’s homage to his native state of Connecticut, named after the historic Charter Oak tree that stood in Hartford for over six centuries before falling in 1856.
The Habano extension was introduced to bridge the gap between the milder Connecticut Shade and the bolder Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro. The Torpedo is the only vitola in the line presented in a 50-count cabinet box.
The wrapper is of a Colorado hue, which is oily and smooth to the touch. Construction is flawless and the filling generous.
