Bolívar Belicosos Finos

Bolívar Belicosos Finos 1600 900 Michel Arlia

The Bolívar Belicosos Finos is a staple of the brand and a classic in the Cuban cigar portfolio. Its production can be traced back to at least pre-1960. It is sold in either 25-ct dress boxes or slide-lid boxes.

The cigars smoked for this review came from the same slide-lid box with a boxing date of BRM NOV 24.

The wrappers are of an oily and smooth Colorado color with only a few very small veins present. Construction is great, and the filling is generous and uniform.

Bolivar Belicosos Finos

Bolívar Belicosos Finos: the cold draw brings nuances of hazelnut and pepper to the palate. Once lit, it opens with a combination of hazelnut, leather, and wood.

Bolivar Belicosos Finos

Further into the first third, the hazelnut and wood remain the protagonists supported by aromas of leather and earth. The strength is medium (3/5).

A white pepper note is added in the second third, along a coffee aroma. A pleasant sour cream nuance appears as well, while the strength remains unchanged.

The last third, the hazelnut and cream notes become the protagonists, supported by wood, leather, and white pepper. A balsamic nuance comes through towards the end as well. The strength stays on the medium level.

Overall, the Bolívar Belicosos Finos is a balanced and round smoke. The profile is well structured, with the aromas being well defined. There is also a bit of evolution present, mainly perceptible in the transition of the second to the last third. A very approachable smoke.
