The Arturo Fuente Opus X PerfecXion X is one of the cigars belonging to the most famous line made under the Opus X brand. The cigars are made in the Dominican Republic, and this vitola is one of the three that are wrapped in a cedar wood sheet.
The cigars are well made, and after removing the cedar wood sheet, the construction shows a nice and oily wrapper, that has a colorado tonality, with some reddish shades.

Arturo Fuente Opus X PerfecXion X: the cold draw reveals scents of wood. The first few puffs bring to the palate notes of smoky wood.
The first third starts a little on the slow side, and it takes a little to get the aromas going. There are notes of wood, together with vegetal aromas. The strength is medium (3/5).
The middle third is where the cigar really opens up, delivering notes of wood, leather and spices, the latter culminating in piquant peaks in some puff. The strength incrases as well, reaching a medium to full (4/5) level.
The final third alternates vegetal and spicy aromas. The strength doesn’t change (4/5) and the finale closes the smoke in a balanced way.
Overall, the Arturo Fuente Opus X PerfecXion X delivers flavor profile which results more contained if compared to other cigars in the Opus X line. The first third performs less well than the rest of the smoke. The evolution is limited.
