In the coming month of April, the Alan Rubin owned brand, the Alec Bradey Medalist will be presented; the cigar targets Aficionados that prefer milder cigars with a sweet taste, thus returning to the roots of the brand.
Rubin says: “To be the best, you need to beat the best. Medalist has this goal and was created to be smoked at anytime of the day”.
The blend is composed of a Shade Grown Honduran wrapper, Honduran binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua; it will be available in 4 sizes:
- Robusto, 52 x 127 mm
- Toro, 54 x 152 mm
- Churchill, 50 x 178 mm
- Gordo, 60 x 152 mm
Medalist is produced at the Tabacos de Oriente SA factory in Honduras (owned by the Plasencias). It comes in 10 count boxes and the prices are a welcomed surprise; it starts with $6 for the Robusto, $6,50 for the Toro and $7 for the Churchill and Gordo.
