The Quai d’Orsay Senadores Edición Limitada 2019 is the first, and so far the only, limited-edition release under the Quai d’Orsay brand.

The wrapper is a Colorado Maduro hue with a bit of tooth. Construction is great, with a uniform filling. The release name on the main band is a nice touch.

Quai d’Orsay Senadores Edición Limitada 2019: the cold draw reveals light nuances of wood with a subtle sweetness. Once lit, the smoke starts with undergrowth, white pepper, and nuts.
A light honeyed sweetness comes through further into the first third, with the white pepper and mix of nuts. The body of the flavors is on the lighter side as is the strength (2/5).
In the second third, white pepper and nuts are still leading the way, now joined by wood as the honey moves to the background. The strength remains unchanged.
The profile is confirmed in the last third. The strength picks up towards the finale as it becomes a bit more spicy (3/5).
Overall, the Quai d’Orsay Senadores Edición Limitada 2019 is a light and nuanced smoke, but the lack of body (especially in the first two-thirds) and its linear progression make for a somewhat flat, one-dimensional smoke.
