Foundation Cigar Company announces the nationwide release of the 2025 Tabernacle Knight Commander, honoring Ethiopia’s historical service distinctions. This limited edition, with only 750 boxes available, starts shipping to authorized retailers.
The Knight Commander vitola was launched after Foundation founder Nicholas Melillo received the Knight Commander honor from the Ethiopian Star of Honor in 2022, in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Ethiopian people.
“The day I received the Knight Commander distinction remains one of the great honors of my life,” said Melillo. “This cigar is a tribute to Ethiopia’s rich history and the people preserving it.”
The 2025 Knight Commander features a cedar-aged Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper (aged for three years) and a carefully selected blend for a refined experience. Notably, 100% of net proceeds are donated to charitable projects in Ethiopia through The Royal Ethiopian Trust, supporting education, cultural preservation, and humanitarian efforts.
“The Knight Commander is more than just a cigar; it allows our customers to contribute to meaningful work,” Melillo added. Given its limited production, availability is expected to be highly sought after.
