Valacari Lure Nereus

Valacari and Lure Cigars are introducing the Limited Edition “Nereus”. It is the second time the brands have collaborated.

“We are excited about the new projects coming out of the factory. This blend was something Lou and I both liked, and it seemed fitting to do another collaboration. It’s been a great experience developing cigars that showcase the signatures of both brands. Valacari features classical imagery, and Lure has fishing-themed branding. The name Nereus is a nod to the Greek mythical sea creature, hippocampus, which is described as having the upper body of a horse with the lower body of a fish. Offering a ‘Year of the (Sea)horse’ release seemed fitting as this is the year honoring the horse in the Chinese Zodiac,” said Nimmer Ahmad, owner of Valacari.

This box-pressed Gordito (60 x 140mm – 5 ½”) is a Nicaraguan puro that features a Sun Grown Habano wrapper, Esteli binder, and five-year-aged filler tobaccos from Esteli and Condega.  With only 2,500 cigars available, they will be sold in 10-packs complete with Boveda humidity control, exclusively allocated to select retailers. The Nereus is made at La Tabacaria Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua. The suggested retail price is set at $15 per cigar.
