The Tatuaje 7th Tuxtla is part of the Tuxtla series from Tatuaje, a limited-production line first introduced in 2022. The Tuxtla project consists of reinterpretations of existing Tatuaje cigars, using a Mexican San Andrés wrapper on previously released blends.

The 7th is a Corona Gorda size (46 x 143 mm – 5 ⅝”) of the classic Seleccion de Cazador, also known as the Tatuaje Brown Label. Production is done in Nicaragua at My Father Cigars S.A. factory.

The cigars are dressed up in a Colorado Maduro leaf, slightly rough to the touch. The construction is good, with a generous filling.

Tatuaje Tuxtla Belle Encre: the cold draw reveals scents of earth and dark chocolate. The opening delivers earthy notes, together walnut.

The first third continues on the notes of earth and walnut, now accompanied by some vegetal aromas and a touch of black pepper. The strength is medium plus (3.5/5).

The middle third continues on the same flavor, confirming earth, walnut, vegetal aromas and black pepper, the latter more intense now. The strength is unchanged (3.5/5).

In the last third, nuances of nutmeg are added to the flavor profile, that proceeds on the earth, dark chocolate, and black pepper notes. The strength doesn’t change (3.5/5).

Overall, the Tatuaje 7th Tuxtla delivers a rich flavor profile. The evolution is limited, with the cigar maintaining the same aromas throughout the smoke. That said, the aromas are harmonious and intense, and it is a well-balanced cigar.
