My Father Blue

The Garcia family made waves in March with the announcement of My Father Blue, a new cigar brand made in Honduras. Previewed at the PCA trade show in New Orleans, these cigars are now arriving at retailers nationwide.

My Father Blue is the first to feature Honduran tobacco, marking the Garcias’ expansion into Honduras, where they have established a 78,000 square-foot factory in El Paraiso. This venture began three years ago when they acquired 360 manzanas (about 890 acres) in Talanga to grow their own tobacco and diversify their offerings, which had previously focused on Nicaragua.

With a US Connecticut Rosado Broadleaf wrapper, all other tobacco (Corojo and Criollo) is sourced from their Honduran farm. The cigars come in 20-count boxes and are available in four sizes: Petit Robusto, measuring 50 x 114mm – 4 ½” ($9); Robusto, at 52 x 133mm – 5 ¼” ($10.50); Toro, 54 x 152mm – 6″ ($12); and a Toro Gordo, 60 x 152mm – 6″ ($13).
