Montecristo celebrates its 90th Anniversary with the launch of a limited-production cigar. Crafted by Rafael Nodal in collaboration with the Plasencia family, this cigar combines Montecristo’s Cuban heritage with modern elegance. It will be available exclusively at Casa de Montecristo locations starting August 30 and nationwide on September 15.
The Montecristo 90th Anniversary honors 1930s Havana. “It’s a statement of legacy and ambition,” says Gabe Diaz, highlighting its intent to blend tradition with modern appeal.
This Nicaraguan puro comes in two sizes: the Nacional, which measures 56 x 140mm (5 1/2″), and the No. 2, a 52 x 156mm (6 1/8″) Figurado. Pricing for the Nacional is set at $38.75, while the No. 2 retails for $40.
They have also partnered with BRM Chronographes to create a limited-edition timepiece featuring a skeleton dial and bronze case. Only 35 handmade watches will be available globally, each with a custom Swiss jewel movement and individually numbered.
To complement the watch, each piece comes in a custom Montecristo 90th Anniversary Watch Winder Humidor, which holds 18 cigars. The humidor includes a watch winder, limited-edition playing cards, six custom dice, six poker chips, and a Montecristo “The Last Chip” game card. The watch kit is priced at $15,000.
