Vegueros “Entretiempos”

Vegueros “Entretiempos”

Vegueros “Entretiempos” 750 497 Luca Cominelli

The Vegueros “Entretiempos” have a cepo 52 x length 110 in a Petit Edmundo shape. Along with the Tapados and Mañanitas, they renewed the brand Vegueros.

Unfortunately, as the wrappers appear of different shades, the boxing of the Vegueros “Entretiempos” does not give a good first impression: such a color discrepancy does not suggest an efficient quality check.

Nonetheless, the Entretiempo appears the best-build vitola in the range from the purely aesthetic perspective. Even the wrapper appears to be of a superior level when compared to his two brothers: it is well tight and oily, while the filling appears to be uniform.

Smoking notes.

vegueros entritiempos_3 copy

Vegueros “Entretiempos:” the cold draw expresses herbal nuances and some spices. The opening develops notes of carob, nuts and light spices (white pepper) as aftertaste.

The first part brings to the palate roasted aromas with spices in the background. The smoke is creamy and pleasant, strength is average (3/5).

The second part maintains the roasted aromas, but the spices considerably increase in intensity, along with the nicotine strength that reaches a medium-high level (4/5).

The third part shifts unexpectedly to herbal notes, with white pepper sustaining every puff in a quite convincing way. Strength remains constant (4/5), while unfortunately one could detect annoying ammoniacal traces.

Combustion requires some small corrections, but luckily drawing is fine. Ashes are of average compactness.

vegueros entritiempos_4

Overall, the Entretiempos are creamy and fresh to the palate, with a much wider aromatic palette than its two brothers in the range. Unfortunately, one can detect ammoniacal traces to the nose, and sometime to the palate, suggesting that this cigar is not yet ready to be smoked. Hopefully, they will improve over time, so it’s better to wait for the time being.
