VegaFina is a brand owned by Tabacalera S.L.U., whose products are made at Tabacalera De Garcia in La Romana (Dominican Republic)—one of the world’s largest, if not the largest, factories.
Numerous lines belong to the brand, which is constantly evolving and always looking for new blends to present to the public. The VegaFina Original Perla is part of the brand’s basic line and, together with seven other sizes, promises to cover every smoking time.
It is sold in 25-ct or 10-ct tubos boxes.
It is rolled in a shiny Claro wrapper leaf with golden reflections. It is relatively smooth to the touch with just barely hinted veins. The filling is uniform, and the draw is good.

VegaFina Original Perla: aromas of cocoa are perceived in the cold draw, enriched with nuances of wood, earth, and hazelnut.
Once lit, the cigar brings a delicately sweet but also acidic smoke to the palate, expressing aromas of wood, nuts and nuances of cellulose. Strength is light (1/5).
In the second half, the smoke becomes sweet and creamy. It confirms the cellulose and woody aromas which are followed by a hay. Strength increases slightly (1.5/5).
Overall, the VegaFina Original Perla offers a smoke of remarkable elegance and richness, considering the size and length of only about 10cm (about 4 inches). Obviously, one cannot expect much of an evolution. Still, for what little it can offer, it convinces and does not disappoint, even with a creaminess that appears from the first puffs and continues throughout the smoke.
