United Cigars’ newest line, Abuelo, is a collaboration with the Eiroa family. Abuelo translates to grandfather in Spanish, and the line pays homage to the elders who have paved the way for us.
This Honduran puro is made up of authentic Honduran grown, Cuban-seed Corojo binder and filler under a Honduran Habano wrapper. “This is 100% tobacco from our farm. Filler and Binder are authentic Corojo with our Habano wrapper. A true puro from Julio’s farm,” said Justo Eiroa, president of JRE Tobacco Co.
The Abuelo line consists of four sizes:
- Nieto: 50 x 127mm (5″), $10.50 per cigar
- Nieta: 44 x 133mm (5 1/4″), $10 per cigar
- Padre: 52 x 152mm (6″), $11.50 per cigar
- Gran Abuel: 60 x 165mm (6 1/2″) per cigar
The cigars are rolled under the watchful eye of tobacco legend Julio R. Eiroa at their Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. in Las Lomas, Jamastran, Honduras. All sizes are on their way to retailers.
