Tatuaje Cojonu 2021 1

The cigar is dressed up in a gorgeous oily and chocolaty wrapper, that is silky to the touch. The construction is excellent, and this Cojonu 2021 looks a little box-pressed. The filling is generous, and there are no soft spots present.

Tatuaje Cojonu 2021

Tatuaje Cojonu 2021: the cold draw reveals dark chocolate and alcoholic scents. The opening confirms the dark chocolate aroma, now flanked by earth and seasoned wood.

Tatuaje Cojonu 2021

The first third continues on the dark chocolate/earth combo, now enriched by black pepper, mainly perceivable in the aftertaste, and seasoned wood. The finish is remarkable, and the strength is medium to full (4/5).

In the second third, the spices become more intense, with black pepper, chili, and a touch of ginger. The earth is still well present, and there are now balsamic herbs perceivable. The strength increases a little, enough to become full (4.5/5).

In the final third, the balsamic notes get richer, joined by vegetal aromas. The seasoned wood overtakes the earth, while the spices, now mainly chili, remain well present. Strength is unchanged.

Overall, the Tatuaje Cojonu 2021 is full of both body and flavor, and while being a strong smoke, it still manages to be well-balanced. This cigar ended up in the top 5 best cigars in Nicaragua in our 2021 Awards.
