TASTING NOTES TALISKER DISTILLERS EDITION 1989

Nose: alcohol very well integrated. It is multifaceted. Caramel and bacon complete the flavor profile.

Palate: very intense. Black pepper is repeated, joined by bacon and smoky notes. The peat is dampened by sweetness, even if contained. Black cherry, dried fruits and raisins.

Finish: long persistence and good complexity. Peat notes, iodine, black pepper and unripe berries can be perceived.

The spirit is tamed by the sweet notes of the Sherry barrel, which on the one hand increase the flavor profile, on the other it limits its peculiar characteristics.

Rating: 86
