Springbank 15 yo

Springbank 15 yo

Springbank 15 yo 800 450 Federico Bosco

Springbank’s philosophy is unique in the Scottish landscape: each part of the production process is carried out on its own and this gives the spirit an “old” character. Springbank does not cold filter and does not color its own malts.

TASTING NOTES SPRINGBANK 15

Nose: initially a little muted, it opens slowly after a few minutes. Spices are evident, which are outlined in white pepper and cinnamon. Followed by a menthol taste, reminiscing of eucalyptus. Notes of ripe fruit and a vein of baked pear and caramel complete the aromatic palette. So far, the Sherry barrels are not very evident.

Palate: the Sherry part now takes over and there are intense spicy notes (black pepper and paprika). The intensity is pronounced and the gradation is optimal.

Finish: of long persistence. Spices, yellow fruits, malt and cereals are perceptible.

The work done at Springbank is admirable and although Springbank 15 yo is part of the “regular line”, it is a unique and structured whisky in the Scottish landscape. The quality/price ratio is exceptional.
