The city of Havana celebrates the 500th anniversary of its foundation. Habanos pays tribute to it by releasing a commemorative cigar for the occation, the San Cristóbal de La Habana 1519.
San Cristobal de La Habana was chosen due to the ties of the brand with the city, which it takes its name from (originally the name of Havana was San Cristóbal de La Habana; “San Cristobal” refers to the patron saint of the day in which it was founded). In the past, Habanos drew inspiration to name a cigar after the avenue of the city that best preserves and tells the architecture of the capital, the Prado.
San Cristóbal de La Habana 1519 measures 57 x 170 mm. The vitola is called Roque and the exclusive humidor is limited to 500 pieces. Each humidor contains 100 cigars bearing a special anniversary band.
