Partagás Serie E No. 2 Gran Reserva arriving in Switzerland

Partagas Serie E No.2 Gran Reserva

The Partagás Series E No.2 Gran Reserva Cosecha 2015 is soon coming to retailers in Switzerland. The Reserva line of Habanos is distinguished historically by the production of the line’s ultimate classics, which are created with specially aged tobaccos.

Although the Partagas Serie E No. 2 is a newer size, it is made with tobaccos from the 2015 crop. However, the enormous Duke (54 x 140 mm – 5 1/2″) vitola quickly rose to the top of the Partagás brand’s selling list. This was sufficient justification for Habanos S.A. to create a Gran Reserva edition just for this format.

Only tobaccos aged for at least five years are used for the filler, wrapper, and binder of the Gran Reservas, which come from the best Vegas Finas de Prima from the Pinar del Rio region. The word “cosecha” in Spanish means “harvest” and designates the year from which the tobacco leaves are harvested.

A second black and gold cigar ring identifies these cigars as “Gran Reserva.” The high-gloss black lacquered noble boxes emphasize the sophisticated look of the Gran Reserva cigars. Each Gran Reserva edition is limited to 5,000 boxes worldwide.

Vegueros Centrogordos

Along the Partagas Serie E No. 2 Gran Reserva, the new Vegueros Centrogordos will also be arriving in Switzerland.

Launched in 1996, Vegueros was born to pay homage to all the Cuban farmers who, from generation to generation, have grown tobacco in Pinar del Río*. The place where the Vegueros brand is made today is the Rolling Tobacco Factory “Francisco Donatien,” a solid building in Pinar del Río* built in 1868 and which became a tobacco factory in 1961. The brand, which completely renewed itself more than fifteen years after its creation by adding new formats to its portfolio, now enriches the range with the Centrogordos vitola (54 x 100 mm – 3 9/10″).

The Partagás Serie E No.2 Gran Reserva and Vegueros Centrogordos will be available on the 24th of October 2023 in the Casa del Habano and on the 31st in the Habanos Specialist stores. The suggested retail prices are 4,125 CHF for the 15-ct Partagás Serie E No.2 Gran Reserva box and 142.40 CHF for the Vegueros Centrogordos 16-ct metal can.
