Partagas Maduro No. 2

Partagas Maduro No. 2

Partagas Maduro No. 2 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

The Partagas Maduro No. 2, despite being part of the Maduro line launched in 2015, was officially released in 2018, together with the Maduro No. 3. As the name of this trio of cigars suggests, it uses a Maduro-colored leaf for the wrapper. Maduro No. 2 is Short Piramide in size.

It is sold in Semi Boite Nature boxes of 25 pieces.

Partagas Maduro No. 2

The wrapper is of a shiny Maduro shade with red reflections, slightly rough to the touch with not very marked veins. Filling is normal, and the draw is slightly open. Overall, the quality is good.

Partagas No. 2

Partagas Maduro No. 2: unlit, the cigar reveals very evident notes of cocoa, followed by less evident aromas of hazelnut with woody nuances.

Partagas Maduro No. 2 (3)

The opening reveals a slightly sapid but also sweet smoke. The woody note is dominant but also leaves room for mineral and black pepper nuances. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the central section, the sweetness gives way to a light bitter component. The flavor profile is enriched with wood, spices and nuts, and the already present peppery nuance. Strength increases, becoming medium-full (4/5).

In the last third, the sapid component slightly increases in intensity. The aromas remain those of wood, nuts, and black pepper. Strength remains unchanged (4/5).

In conclusion, the Partagas Maduro No. 2 returns a full-bodied smoke. The strength, while present, does not overshadow the flavors. It is slightly lacking in evolution, especially between the central and last third.
