Partagas Aristocrats

Partagas Aristocrats

Partagas Aristocrats 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

Partagas Aristocrats (named Aristocratas before the 1980s) has been in production since before the Castro revolution and is one of Habanos SA’s two Petit Cetros in their portfolio (the other being Romeo y Julieta’s Coronitas en Cedros).

Until 2002 it was machine-made, and there were also some packaged in Cellophane. It is currently only sold in a 25-unit dress box.

Partagas Aristocrats

The cigar is dressed in a bright Colorado wrapper with reddish reflections. To the touch, it is slightly rough, with some veins present but not very pronounced. The construction is average, while the filling is good.

Partagas Aristocrats

Partagas Aristocratswell-defined aromas of wood and spices are perceived in the cold draw.

Partagas Aristocrats

The opening is decidedly sapid on the palate. It expresses notes of wood and spices, mainly black pepper and hints of earth. Strength is medium (3/5).

In the central section, the sapidity remains unchanged. Even the aromas do not undergo variations, apart from a slight balsamic nuance, which is very light and fleeting. Strength remains stable on the medium level (3/5).

In the last third, there is only a slightly unpleasant bitter vein that appears—no other changes.

In conclusion, the Partagas Aristocrats is a product that, although Partagas in its DNA, does not shine in various respects. The flavor profile is very basic and has no appreciable evolution, and the strength sometimes overshadows some of the fleeting aromas. You’d be better served to go with the Mille Fleurs of the Shorts of the same brand.

  • This is a very good cigar and attractively priced from the right source. It was terrible when I smoked the day of receipt but after two weeks in the humidor it’s really good.
