Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto

Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto

Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto 800 450 Luca Cominelli

Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto is not a Robusto in the classical sense of the size. While a classic Robusto measures 50 x 127 mm, this Robusto measures 58 x 140 mm.

The Exclusivo line from Nicarao uses particularly aged tobaccos and all from Nicaragua. The wrapper is aged for 2 years before it is used, while the filler includes leaves that have been matured for 5 years and there is also a Ligero in it that has aged for 9 years.

Aesthetically, the cigar is dressed in a Colorado Maduro colored wrapper, rough to the touch. Filling is homogeneous and uniform.

Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto: unlit, hints of earth and cocoa. Once lit, it brings vegetal and earthy notes to the palate.

The first third of the smoke alternates aromas of earth and cocoa, while vegetal notes are perceptible in the background . Strength is slightly above average (3,5/5).

 width=

In the second third the vegetal notes change into balsamic herbs and the aromatic palette is supported by a prominent spicy flavor. Strength grows to  a medium-full body (4/5).

In the final third the balsamic component intensifies, dominating the finale. Strength remains constant (4/5).

Overall, a balanced smoke with a strong aromatic intensity. The Achilles heel of this Nicarao Exclusivo Robusto is instead the evolution, barely perceptible.
