Tasting notes LAGAVULIN 16 YO

Nose: intens notes of peat on the first impact, followed by marine flavors and an explosion of spices. Hints of seaweed, wood and licorice result perceptible as well. Deep and well structured.

Palate: reveals intense flavors of peat and spices, black pepper in particular. Then come leather and wood, with licorice and marine notes in the end. Sweet and smokey, but never intrusive. Almost chewable.

Finale: prolonged and satisfying. Marine notes, with a hint of salt, wood and peat are perceptible.

Very balanced. Peaty and explosive, it gives rise to an intense and very satisfying aromatic palette. It is a universal Scotch Whisky, to say the least, that has the advantage of a enviable productive consistency. The quality/price ratio has few equals. In its price range it is unmatched.
