Joya Cabinetta Lancero returning as Limited Edition

Joya Cabinetta Lancero returning as Limited Edition

Joya Cabinetta Lancero returning as Limited Edition 1600 900 John Jeremy

Joya Cabinetta Lancero

In 2016, Joya de Nicaragua’s branding was getting a facelift. The “Cabinetta Serie” morphed into “Joya Cabinetta” under the JOYA family, along with JOYA Red, JOYA Black, and the later addition, JOYA Silver. In the 2016 revamp, they discontinued the Lancero. But good news – in 2024, it’s back, albeit in a limited run of just 1,000 boxes globally.

“At every cigar event, the question pops up: ‘What about the Cabinetta Lancero?’ We get it; there’s a certain charm to the elegance and rich experience of a great Lancero, but let’s face it – it’s a niche favorite. So, ‘by popular demand’, here it is, the Cabinetta Lancero Limited Edition for 2024… and trust us, it’s better than ever,” says Juan I. Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua S.A.

The blend consists of Nicaraguan binders and fillers rolled in an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, capped off with a Nicaraguan Habano Criollo head.

“Forget the usual ‘barber pole’ cigars that are all about looks. This dual-wrapper approach is not just for show – it’s a game-changer in flavor and aroma,” explains Dr. Alejandro Martinez Cuenca, the mastermind behind the 2007 blend.

JOYA Cabinetta in the Lancero format will be re-introduced at the PCA 2024 Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas this month as a Limited Edition and will be ready to ship to stores shortly thereafter. The MSRP will be $9.95 /cigar and $199/Box.

Joya De Nicaragua Clasico Medio Siglo

A year after launching the Clásico Original, Joya de Nicaragua introduces the Clásico Medio Siglo to the U.S. market.

Juan I. Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua S.A., shares: “The Criollo wrapper in the Clásico isn’t a new concept. In fact, until the late 1990s, our primary brand was the Clasico in two expressions: Claro and Colorado, or Criollo. The change was subtle, just a sticker on the box indicating Natural or Criollo. We’re not reinventing the wheel

here; rather, we’re reviving a legendary brand for the palates of today’s cigar lovers. This approach has already seen tremendous success globally, and now it’s the U.S. smoker’s turn to enjoy it.” shares Juan IMartínez.

Wrapped in a Habano Criollo leaf, with Nicaraguan fillers and binders, the Clásico Medio Siglo line is presented in an eye-catching “sunset-orange” box of 25 cigars. The line is available in four sizes, including a new Gordo vitola exclusive to the U.S. market.

  • Gordo: 60 × 152 mm (6”), $10.50 per cigar
  • Número 6: 41 × 152 mm (6”), $8.25 per cigar
  • Robusto: 50 × 127 mm (5”), $8.75 per cigar
  • Toro: 50 × 152 mm (6”), $9.25 per cigar

The brand will be introduced this March at the PCA 2024 Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas and will be shipping in the summer of this year.
