Ferio Tego is a young company created by Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott and launched last year. Both worked at Nat Sherman, and after it had to close, they both decided to work together and thus Ferio Tego was born.
Their debut release was a pair of limited edition cigars, one called Elegancia, made by the Quesada family in the DR, and the other called Generoso, made by the Plasencia family in Nicaragua. Both blends come in the same size.
The wrapper is of an oily Colorado color that is smooth to the touch. Only a few small veins are present, and the overall construction is excellent.

Ferio Tego Generoso 2021: the cold draw reveals aromas of ripe fruit, hay, and wood, with faint spiciness in the background. Once lit, the cigar opens with wood and espresso notes.
Continuing into the first third, the wood and espresso are still present, joined by cream and hazelnut. There is also an enjoyable sour note perceptible, with a decent amount of pepper in the retro-hale. Strength is medium (3/5).
The second third adds a leather note to the wood, cream, and hazelnut, while the espresso flavor has vanished. The sour component is still present but not as prominent as before, and the pepper spice is still only perceptible through the retro-hale. Strength remains unchanged.
The pepper spice has moved to the foreground in the last third joining the leather, wood, hazelnut and cream. A herbal note is added further in, with the sour component still lingering around. Strength is still medium.
Overall, the Ferio Tego Generoso 2021 is a balanced and flavorful smoke. The profile is complex with well-intertwined flavors, and there is a perceptible evolution throughout each third—a smooth and rewarding cigar.
