Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro is produced by the Espinosa family in Nicaragua. The line’s name (Laranja) was suggested by the orange chromatic reflections of the Brazilian leaf used for the wrapper.

The line comprises six sizes, among which there is the Toro. They are sold in 20-count boxes.

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro

The wrapper is of a Colorado color with reddish reflections (you could also see some orange reflections). It is pretty smooth to the touch and has moderately evident veins. The construction and filling are excellent.

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro 2

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro: aromas of wood and spices are perceivable in the cold draw, enriched by citrus nuances. Once lit, the smoke is sweet but also sapid on the palate.

Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro 3

The first third expresses very marked earthy and citrus notes, followed by less evident bark and vegetal hints (reminiscent of dried pine needles). The strength is medium-full (4/5).

The sweetness loses intensity in the central section, leaving the sapidity unchanged and more perceptible. Aromas of earth and bark, with a mineral nuance, are present. The strength remains unchanged (4/5), but at the same time, it is less disruptive on the flavor profile.

The sweetness disappears in the last third, while the sapidity remains unchanged. The duo of earth and bark are confirmed, including nutty aromas. Strength increases slightly (4.5/5).

Overall, the Espinosa Laranja Reserva Toro is a cigar that offers a particularly intense smoke. However, the first third of the smoke appears dominated by strength alone, which sometimes covers most of the flavor profile. However, the aromas emerge with more intensity from the middle onwards, and the strength is not as overwhelming as in the first third. Although not too marked, the evolution is decent for a Toro-sized cigar.
