Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. that after the American Civil War, decided to start a new business, by purchasing a small distillery on the banks of the Kentucky River. This “four grain” is made by using a combination of corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. It is bottled after spending 12 years of aging.
