Drew Estate has announced their 2021 Liga Privada Unico Serie “Pancetta” will be landing soon. The Pancetta is a two-shop exclusive. The Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop in Havertown, Pennsylvania, and Barrister Cigars in Union, New Jersey, are the selected shops to have the exclusive. The choice was made to honor two shops that fully believed in Drew Estate’s Liga Privada series. From the press release, Drew Estate’s Founder and President, Jonathan Drew, says, “Two of the first retailers to believe in our vision for Liga Privada and support our story of Stalk-Cut and Stalk-Cured tobaccos from the Connecticut River Valley were our close friends at Wooden Indian and Barrister. Their love and passion for Liga Privada are matched only by the deep, rich, commanding, and authoritative presence of this bangin’ cigar.”
The 2021 edition Pancetta is a Short Belicoso vitola, measuring at 50 ring gauge by 121mm (4.75″). The cigar uses a T52 wrapper, with the blend from Drew Estate’s Feral Flying pig blend. The T52 wrapper is a Connecticut Stalk-Cut and Stalk-Cured Habano, with the Feral Pig blend of a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and a combination filler of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. Besides the primary Pancetta band, the cigar features a secondary foot band showing it as an exclusive release for 2021. Cigars will come in 24-count boxes. MSRP before any taxes is $299 a box, or $12.46 per cigar.
