The cigars are dressed in a very oily and silky “colorado” wrapper. The filling is uniform and generous.

Davidoff Royal Release Robusto: hints of barn and hay get delivered in the cold draw. The opening is “buttery”. The cigars develops vegetable nuances.

After the first puffs, the aromatic profile opens up with a mix of dried fruit with shell (hazelnut), vegetal notes and earth. In the aftertaste is perceptible as a spicy component, with white pepper standing out. In some puffs there are also spicy peaks. The smoke is complex and elegant. Strength is a little above average (3,5/5).

Reaching the central section, roasted notes of cappuccino are delivered. The base becomes slightly sweet and the spices are now more pronounced, without being overwhelming. Fine wood alternates with mild vegetable hints. In the aftertaste there are rich and fine balsamic herbs. The strength doesn’t change.

In the final part a riot of spices explodes, together with a rich aroma of unripe hazelnut. The strength now grows, reaching a medium to full level (4/5), ending the smoke in a very satisfying and fulfilling finale.

Overall, the Davidoff Royal Release Robust gives off a smoke equipped with an exceptional creaminess. The smoke is almost “buttery”. The cigar is complex and the aromatic profile is endowed with a remackable harmony and a perfect balance. A classy cigar.
