Courvoisier XO

Courvoisier XO

Courvoisier XO 1600 901 John Jeremy

Courvoisier is a historical brand, particularly well known and widespread. Among the products marketed there is the XO version, presented in an easily recognizable bottle. The eaux de vie used for this bottling are aged between 11 and 25 years. The XO is not to be confused with the “Initiale Extra” version, which presents a bottle with similar shapes, but which has a longer aging (from 30 to 50 years).

TASTING NOTES – COURVOISIER XO COGNAC

Nose

Orange marmalade and cocoa beans are followed dried fruits (raisins and plum) and citrus (citron and orange peel).

Palate

It is very peppery (black pepper). It delivers a rich and mellow fruit note, followed by a touch of balsamic
herbs (menthol).

Finish

Medium long persistency. Black pepper and hints of cooca.

Overall, the Courvoisier XO is better performing on the palate than on the nose, where the flavor profile is endowed with greater intensity. That said, this cognac is structured and equipped with a good harmony.
