Bunnahabhain 18 yo is produced in Scotland, more precisely on the island of Islay. Founded in 1881, the real surge of the distillery was not until the early sixties, when the distillation implant was expanded and the foundation for a single malt, labeled Bunnahabhain, was laid out.

Tasting notes BUNNAHABHAIN 18 YO
Nose: on the first impact is releases intense notes of caramel, followed by a rich mix of balsamic herbs. Afterward come notes of hazelnut. Hints of plum and vanilla complete the aromatic palette.
Palate: is instantly very balanced and structured. It reveals notes of chestnut honey and red fruits, followed by candied fruits and panettone. Lastly, malt is also perceptible.
Finale: medium long persistency. Caramel and balsamic herbs, accompanied by spices (white pepper) and wood.
Overall a Scotch whisky that reveals an ample and well structured aromatic palette, that also provides a good complexity. The ABV chosen for the bottling of this 18 yo is perfect. Intense and has character, but at the same time is incredibly balanced.
