Tasting notes BUNNAHABHAIN 18 YO

Nose: on the first impact is releases intense notes of caramel, followed by a rich mix of balsamic herbs. Afterward come notes of hazelnut. Hints of plum and vanilla complete the aromatic palette.

Palate: is instantly very balanced and structured. It reveals notes of chestnut honey and red fruits, followed by candied fruits and panettone. Lastly, malt is also perceptible.

Finale: medium long persistency. Caramel and balsamic herbs, accompanied by spices (white pepper) and wood.

Overall a Scotch whisky that reveals an ample and well structured aromatic palette, that also provides a good complexity. The ABV chosen for the bottling of this 18 yo is perfect. Intense and has character, but at the same time is incredibly balanced.
