Tasting notes BRUICHLADDICH OCTOMORE EDITION 07.2

Nose: initially the intense peat notes cover every other aroma. Then, slowly, appear notes of fresh wood, diesel, black pepper and balsamic herbs. Also notes of red fruits can be perceived in the background.

Palate: the first impact on the nose is given by peat and spices, among which black pepper stands out. This mix of ash and smoked wood tends to dominate the remaining flavor profile, composed of licorice and balsamic herbs. It is bitter.

Finish: of long persistence. Wood, ash, balsamic herbs and black pepper. Even the aftertaste is bitter.

Overall an explosive whisky, also because of its high alcohol content. Not easy to drink, it creates a mix of smoke and unique hints of peat. It requires some major attention to be fully appreciated. Rustic and masculine.
