Appleton Estate Announces Global Relaunch With 8 Year Old Reserve

Appleton Estate Announces Global Relaunch With 8 Year Old Reserve

Appleton Estate Announces Global Relaunch With 8 Year Old Reserve 1145 644 Scott Sherer
Appleton Estate 8
Appleton Estate has announced the brands new 8 Year Old Reserve Rum will be available in Switzerland. As part of its overall storied global relaunch, the entire Appleton Estate Jamaica rum range, complete with redesigned bottles, labels, and packaging, will be available in Swiss retail and specialist shops from March 2021. The new 8 Year Old Reserve will make it release at the Swiss local retailer Coop.
The new 8 Year Old Reserve has a sleek contemporary version of the iconic bottle shape that is accompanied by a sophisticated new cork closure. The neck label below the cap depicts the Appleton Estate in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica, followed by the year 1749 embossed on the glass. That is the year the estate was founded. The label now has “Minimum Ageing” to let you know that every drop of rum has been aged for at least 8 years. Appleton Estate’s commitment to “minimum aging” ensures every drop of rum that flows into the bottle is aged at least as long as the age indicated on the label. That aging is done in the tropical climate of Jamaica. With the warmer climate, the rum ages three times faster than spirits aged in cooler climates. That gives the rums richer and fuller profiles in shorter aging.
Master blender Joy Spence says, “We are giving a fresher look to both our enduring rum range and limited editions while maintaining our commitment to exceptional spirits.” In the press release, she goes on to say, “With this new look, Appleton Estate proudly celebrates its Jamaican heritage in a thoroughly modern way. We hope that our new look and feel will enhance high-end cocktails and the sophisticated drinking experience while spreading the joy of rum around the world.”
“As a leading supplier of premium spirits, we are focusing on Premium+ Rum in view of the growth trends and long-term potential. Appleton Estate and the many premium elements of its new launch are perfectly suited to take on this task,” says Julka Villa, Managing Director Spirits of Campari Group. “The consumer palate has become much more sophisticated. The Appleton Estate range has some complex and elegant rums that inspire us. The relaunch gives us the opportunity to showcase Jamaica’s rich history and geography as the brand reinvents itself and appeals to new consumers.”
Consumers now look for specialized experiences and personal connections to brands. Appleton Estate is one of the few rums in the world that can claim both. Appleton Estates rum has that geological and climatic conditions run through the Nassau Valley. Every step of the rum production process is precisely controlled. From harvesting and production of the molasses to distillation, blending and bottling is what Appleton Estates calls “Cane to Cocktail.” Each barrel used for the blends is hand-selected by Master Blender Joy Spence and her team. “Making rum is our passion and a true art,” says Spence. “Jamaica has a pulse-like nowhere else, and this vibrant energy flows into everything we do, especially our world-class rums.”
The relaunch will be implemented worldwide. In Switzerland, the 8 Year Old Reserve will be available from October 2020. This will be followed in March by the Signature, 12 Year Old Rare Casks, and 21-Year-Old Nassau Valley Casks-Rum. For more info, go to http://www.appletone.com.
