We’re nearing the end of 2025, and once again it’s time to celebrate and revisit every cigar we’ve assessed over the past twelve months. As always, the final part of the year is dedicated to highlighting the very best, especially the standout new releases that have recently entered the market.
UNVEIL SCHEDULE
Since 2015, CigarsLover Magazine has published the Top 25 Cigars of the year (click to view past editions). Beginning on Monday, December 8, we will start unveiling this year’s selections, counting down the best 25 cigars of 2025. The full schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, December 9: Top 4
Wednesday, December 10: Top 3
Thursday, December 11: Top 2
Friday, December 12: The Best Cigar of the Year

HOW ARE THE AWARDS MADE?
The cigars that achieve the highest scores in our blind tastings and reviews throughout the year are shortlisted for further evaluation. These products are then tested again in a new blind tasting, meaning the panel does not know which cigars are being evaluated. The results are compared, and from this process the TOP 5 are determined.
Since 2015, CigarsLover Magazine has emphasized terroirs, ensuring that all producing countries receive proper visibility. In 2018, the TOP 5 was complemented by the TOP 50, a ranking of the 50 best cigars of the year without distinction of origin. Together with the Best Brands in the five main categories, the Best Boutique Cigars, and the Best Boutique Brand, these lists will be featured in CigarsLover Magazine #5 2025 issue.
