Plasencia Cigars announces El Año de la Cabra (Year of the Goat), the seventh release in their Zodiac collection.
Inspired by the goat’s symbolism of harmony and resilience, El Año de la Cabra embodies the Plasencia family’s philosophy of exceptional craftsmanship and deep respect for the land. Handcrafted in Danlí, Honduras, it features a Honduran wrapper from the Azacualpa terroir in Olancho, a binder from the Jamastrán Valley in Honduras, and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua.
“The goat represents a quiet but powerful strength, one that comes from patience, balance, and an instinctive connection to nature,” said Néstor Andrés Plasencia, fifth generation. “Those qualities are deeply connected to how our family has approached tobacco for more than 160 years. With El Año de la Cabra, we wanted to create a cigar that honors that philosophy, bringing together the character of our Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos in an expression that is both distinctive and deeply rooted in the land.”

The cigars come in an elegant red lacquered box with gold detailing, inspired by the traditional Chinese red envelope and symbolizing prosperity.
“Our Chinese Zodiac collection has become an opportunity to express Plasencia’s creativity and innovation while celebrating traditions that resonate with cigar enthusiasts around the world,” said Ed Bello, Chief Executive Officer of Plasencia Cigars. “El Año de la Cabra continues that journey, bringing together thoughtful design, exceptional tobacco, and the craftsmanship that defines our family-owned brand.”
The Plasencia El Año de la Cabra is set to ship to retailers in December. It is limited to 6,000 individually numbered boxes of ten cigars. This 6¼ x 60 Perfecto Figurado is priced at $60 per cigar or $600 per box.
